What I do

  • UX Audit

A full teardown of your product's user experience. You get a prioritized report with annotated screens, heuristic scores, and a 90-day action plan.

  • Product Design Sprint

From problem statement to tested prototype. I run discovery, map the user journey, design the flows, and validate with real users before you write a line of code.

  • Design System

A living component library in Figma with tokens, specs, and documentation your engineers will actually use. Built to scale with your product.

  • Workshop Facilitation

Structured workshops for alignment, ideation, or roadmap prioritization. Remote or on-site in Portland. I bring the exercises, you bring the decisions.

What clients say

  • "Jordan turned a vague brief into a prototype our investors couldn't stop clicking. We hired a full-time designer six months later and they still use Jordan's system."

    Priya Menon, CEO, Canopy
  • "Fastest turnaround I've ever seen from a designer. The audit paid for itself in the first sprint when we caught three critical usability issues."

Marcus Langley, VP Product, Beacon Health
  • "Working with Jordan feels like adding a senior team member, not managing a vendor. Clear communication, no surprises, and work that ships."

    Sam Okoro, CTO, Rivulet

About me

I'm a product designer with **eight years** of experience across fintech, health tech, and marketplace platforms. Before going independent, I spent time at **Figma** (design systems team) and **Shopify** (merchant experience). I'm based in Portland, Oregon. I work best with small, fast-moving teams that care about craft but ship on a deadline. Most of my projects are 2-8 weeks, though I keep a few retainer slots open for teams that need ongoing design support. When I'm not designing, I'm usually trail running, reading about behavioral economics, or overcomplicating dinner.

Common questions

What does your typical engagement look like?
Most projects start with a 30-minute intro call. From there I send a scope document with timeline, deliverables, and a fixed price. If we're aligned, I can usually start within a week. I work in 1-3 week sprints with async check-ins and a walkthrough at the end of each sprint.
Do you do development or just design?
Design only, but I work closely with engineers. I deliver production-ready Figma files with specs, tokens, and interaction notes. I'm comfortable in a PR review and I'll stick around through implementation to make sure nothing gets lost in translation.

Let's work together

I take on 2-3 projects at a time so I can give each one real attention. Tell me what you're building.
