Meet Dr. Chen

Dr. **Lisa Chen** founded Elm Street Dental in 2008 with a simple goal: make going to the dentist something people don't dread. She earned her DDS from Columbia University and completed advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry at NYU. Before opening her own practice, she spent five years at a community health clinic — an experience that shaped her belief that quality dental care should be accessible and judgment-free. The practice has grown to include three hygienists and two dental assistants, but the philosophy hasn't changed: listen first, explain clearly, and never recommend a treatment you wouldn't want for your own family.

Do you accept my insurance?

We're in-network with Delta Dental, Cigna, Aetna, and MetLife. We also accept most other PPO plans and offer payment plans for uninsured patients.

How often should I get a cleaning?

Most patients benefit from a professional cleaning every six months. Dr. Chen may recommend more frequent visits if you have gum disease or other concerns.

What if I have a dental emergency?

Call us right away. We reserve time in our schedule for same-day emergencies and will do our best to see you within hours.
