Our Story

We met on the L train in 2022, both squeezed against the same pole during a packed Friday rush. Kenji was reading a paperback he'd already finished; Aisha called him out on it, and the argument lasted four stops. We swapped numbers at Bedford Avenue and never stopped talking since. Three years, one tiny Lower East Side walk-up, and a shared coffee obsession later, Kenji proposed on the High Line at sunrise -- no ring, no speech, just the question. Aisha said yes before the next train passed.

The ceremony is a short, intimate civil service at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau downtown. The party picks up that evening on a glass-walled rooftop in Tribeca, twelve floors up with skyline views in every direction. The building is fully elevator-accessible. Cocktails and dancing are all under the open-air canopy, so dress for a breeze after sundown. There is no on-site parking -- the subway is your friend (see directions below).
