Our Story

The Curl Lab started in 2019 when stylist **Naima Bell** got tired of salons that treated textured hair as an afterthought — or tried to straighten it out entirely. The team is four stylists, each trained specifically in curly, coily, and wavy textures — from loose waves to tight 4C coils. We use exclusively sulfate-free, cruelty-free products chosen to hydrate and protect rather than strip. We believe your curls should be understood, not fought with, and that leaving the chair knowing how to recreate your look at home is the whole point.

FAQ

Do I need to book in advance?

We recommend booking at least a week ahead, especially for protective styles. Walk-ins are welcome for cuts if a stylist is available.

Should I come with my hair washed or dry?

Come with your hair in its natural, dry state and free of heavy product. We'll assess your curl pattern before we wash and style.

Do you work with kids' hair?

Yes — we welcome kids ages 5 and up. We keep it gentle, fun, and pressure-free.
