Meet Dr. Patel

Dr. **Anita Patel** opened Northgate Orthodontics in 2011 with one mission: make getting a great smile fun, easy, and genuinely encouraging for every age. She earned her DDS from the University of Michigan and completed her orthodontic residency at the University of North Carolina, where she focused on clear aligner therapy and treatment for growing children. Early in her career she volunteered at school dental programs — an experience that convinced her that confidence-building care should never feel intimidating. The practice now includes two associate orthodontists and a warm team of treatment coordinators, but the approach hasn't changed: explain every step, celebrate every milestone, and treat each patient like family.

Am I too old for braces or aligners?

Not at all — about a third of our patients are adults. Clear aligners and ceramic braces are discreet options that fit busy adult lifestyles, and treatment works at any age.

When should my child first see an orthodontist?

The AAO recommends a first checkup by age 7. Early evaluation lets Dr. Patel catch jaw and spacing issues while they're easiest to guide — most kids just get monitored until the right time.

How much does treatment cost?

Every smile is different, so we give a clear quote at your free consultation. We accept most insurance and offer interest-free monthly payment plans to fit your budget.
